How Does Refrigeration Work?
1. When the temperature within a refrigerator is above the set point sensors signal the refrigerator compressor to start, and then the next cool down begins. The refrigerator draws in the cold liquified refrigerant, then pressurizes and condenses the refrigerant, and raises the temperature, turning it into a gas form.
2. The compressor directs the warm gas towards the condenser coils on the outside of the appliance, at which point it comes in contact with the lower temperature in the room and returns back to a liquid state.
3. The cooled refrigerant then continues on its journey to the refrigerator evaporator, pushing through the many coils within the appliance and freezer.
4. The liquid absorbs the heated air from inside the appliance, thereby reducing the temperature until it has reached the desired final point.
5. The refrigerant then will evaporate, and turns back into a gas, and returns to the refrigerator compressor to continue the cooling cycle.
